چکیده

Explicitly representing aspect interactions is vital so that they can be shared and used in the course of system evolution. As a consequence, guidance can be given to the software developer and automated support for handling interactions becomes possible. In this paper, we propose to use default logics for modeling context-dependent aspect interference. We motivate and illustrate our work by an example interference from the domotica world.

A context - for default its

We present a new context-based approach to default logic, called contextual default logic. The approach”extends the notion of a default rule and supplies each extension with a context. Contextual default logic allows for embedding all existing variants of default logic along with more traditional approaches like the closed world assumption. A key advantage of contextual default logic is that it...

Two Cumulativity Results on J-and Pj-default Logics

This paper reports two cumulativity results for J-and PJ-default logics formalized by Del-grande and Jackson Delgrande and Jackson, 1991] in the context of skeptical reasoning: (1) PJ-default logic is cumulative, and (2) J-default logic is not cumulative in general but there is a nontrivial class of theories for which the cumu-lativity property can still hold. We also investigate semantical imp...

Improved Bayesian Training for Context-Dependent Modeling in Continuous Persian Speech Recognition

Context-dependent modeling is a widely used technique for better phone modeling in continuous speech recognition. While different types of context-dependent models have been used, triphones have been known as the most effective ones. In this paper, a Maximum a Posteriori (MAP) estimation approach has been used to estimate the parameters of the untied triphone model set used in data-driven clust...

Semantics for Constrained and Rational Default Logics

The default nonmonotonic reasoning was formalised by a class of logical systems: default logics (classical, justified, constrained, rational), based on the same syntax which utilises nonmonotonic inference rules: defaults, but with different semantics for the defaults. In this paper we introduce a uniform semantic characterisation for the constrained and rational extensions of a default theory....

Nonmonotonic Multi-Context Systems: A Flexible Approach for Integrating Heterogeneous Knowledge Sources

MCS provide a flexible, principled account of integrating heterogeneous knowledge sources, a task that is becoming more and more relevant. By a knowledge source we mean a knowledge base (KB) formulated in any of the typical knowledge representation languages, including classical logic, description logics, modal or temporal logics, but also nonmonotonic formalisms like logic programs under answe...
